Welcome ...
Good luck to hearing something soon - it's a bit tough when some people seem to be applying after you are getting quicker results and you're still waiting for the status to change!
Just keep smiling and it's true what Rachyj said... some are faster at first and then slow down in the later stages.
It's not easy holding back from checking your status - only to get disappointed when it hasn't changed anyway!!
Just imagine the excitement when there is a change on there

Re: ACS-2009 Applicants!
Folks, I got contacted from ACS today for my certified transcipts. I sent them my transcips in a sealed envelope( thats what we do in the US) both Undergrad and Masters. But they wanted new certified ones. Although its not a biggie, sounds quite unconvincing.
Anyway, they received my docs on 28th Jan,09 for C++, Java (MODL)and I got my reference no. within a week. My status was to be allocated couple of days back and I didn't check it last weekend. Now, a case officer has been assigned and status is documents awaiting.
Good news is :they are saying after certified transcipts no further docs are required; sounds like they got satisfied with my reference letters. i had more than 6 pages reference letters from two employers (current and past) with some project titles mentioned.

Hi there,
My IT manager outlined only the project titles and the application and software tools used to accomplish them briefly( He just wrote the most recent project names) . Although I have done numerous projects, he only mentioned the ones he remembered...

Re: ACS-2009 Applicants!
Thanks for this very useful thread guys, Good luck everybody
Question:
Do we need to specify details of our experience or just an official employment document from the company is enough ?
For my case my title is Sun Support Engineer, but this includes Solaris (MODL, CSL).
What do you think guys ?

To back this up he got references from colleagues who worked at these places with him. But these were not on headed notepaper so he had to write up statutory declarations and get them signed by a solicitor. These stat decs backed up the MODL role he was going for and linked to his experience.
A mate who had gone through the ACS process had delays because the references were not thorough enough so we were following his advice.
Having said all that ... we haven't got our result yet so I am only offering my opinion on it all.
Hopefully others will be along to offer their advice too - we're a friendly bunch

Re: ACS-2009 Applicants!
Exactly. They were all in company letter head signed by my manager. They didn't ask me for further reference things, however, asked for my transcripts eventhough I sent them earlier.
In the other thread, they asked for same kind of stuffs for a guy who had also studied in the US. They preferred notorized docs...not sealed orginals...pretty amazing

But in that company letter, say for example, if you are a Java specialist, did your job title say "Java programmer" or "Software developer" without a mention of Java ?
that's what I'm concerned about. Because usually jobs titles don't state your work duties.
