Default 489 Visa Experiences

Hi everyone.

I have applied for a Family Sponsored 489 Visa and was wondering what everyone else's experiences have been with this visa? Mainly time scales, as the DIAC website obviously shows worst case, but a lot of forums have been telling a different story and some people have been getting grants within 4-5 months of applying.

Thanks

Have you applied for the visa or just lodged EOI?

I applied in September; it cost me a small fortune for the privilege, but I know it will be worth it in the end!

DIBP service charter says they aim to process 75% of all 489 applications in 3 months - Skilled Migration Visa Processing Times

Obviously, this is the aim. All applications are different and some will obviously take longer.

My mistake! I read the wrong part for priority group 4 and only saw 18 months! This has made me feel a bit better now! Thank you.
