457 onto PR
Hi
I'm in the process of applying for a 457 visa. The change to skills hasn't affected me and I'm fine to get the 4 year visa.
Hoping to transition to PR after 3 years now, was 2. Should be ok but the age limit has been reduced from 50 to 45. I'm only 32 so I'm ok but my husband will be 46 in 3 years... does that mean we won't be able to get it or is it just my age as the main applicant?

Re: 457 onto PR
Im pretty sure its just the main applicant who's age matters, Ive read another post on here recently regarding no upper age limit for defacto partners. Hopefully someone can confirm for you!
Goodluck!

Re: 457 onto PR
Thank you. I really hope so. It says all applicants so bit misleading. If it turns out I can't I won't be going at all.
Wish I could get a permanent visa straight away but the 457 is the best route for me right now.
Thanks
Kirsty
