So you don’t want clarification of your visa position. You just want to collate a list of people in the same situation? Why?

Well MOzza, I don't need clarification of my visa position, I'm already very aware of that. I'm not wanting a list either. I was just wondering if anyone else finds themselves in this difficult situation, and wanting to share thoughts and feelings regarding this situation.

It sucks, I feel for you, as I do for anyone hoping to get a visa and then failing because of rule changes and the like. But as you say, you already knew the rules and knew there was a good chance you would have to leave.

I did a search on here when you first posted, and it appeared that you had been living in Australia for around 10 years on a 457 but I guess that's not the case. I did find other people discussing the change to the 457 in late April who were already aware that the residence period was going to increase from 2 to 3 years. If you are already 47 now, is it possible that you will complete the 3 years required before turning 50?
