143 contributory parent
Greetings,
Applied for the contributory parent CA 143 in June 2016 for my mum. Haven't heard from the the dept apart from promptly deducting the funds.
-Does anyone know of a timeline, how close could we be ?
-what are the next steps ?
-Any working number i can talk to a person dodging a machine ?

I believe processing is currently about 34 months.

Yes it could be years before you hear. If all other things are in order then medicals and police checks will be asked for. Then when all cleared the AOS and the big payment will be required. They will have a short time to organise the funds for this.

Suggest you might periodically send a blank email to [email protected]
This will generate an email reply that details the lodgment date of parent visa applications under each subclass that are presently being allocated for assessment.
There is also a parent visa tracker available where you can also enter your visa application details - type parent visa tracker into Google. I find this site is most useful when you click on the column header Date of visa application.
