I believe the ens 121 employer sponsored residency has changed to 186.
Company are sorting paperwork but hope to submit by begining sept.

Just a bit concerned that a thread mentioned just 100 applications picked from pool. This seems a very small number.

Just wondering if anyone else is/ has applied for this visa how long it takes please

Apparently its a no no to try to rent out our house here in Nz from Dec till end Jan and same in oz to find rental so bit concerned when visa might come through and sorting rentals out.

No one can tell you. SkillSelect has only been in place since July 1st so no one has had the opportunity to apply for any visa so far.

If you read that thread you will see why its a small number - its a new system and they want to ensure its working properly. Numbers will gradually be increased.

The 100 applicants are being selected for the subclass 189 and 489 visas, not for subclass 186.

but hey if only a few being picked from other pools might mean they have more time for our type of visa :@) (positive thinking, positive thiniking :-))

Does the 186 require an EOI or is it an automatic process once all the requirements have been met?

The subclass 186 visa does not require an EOI. In fact it will only be rare cases where an EOI leads to a 186 application.

can anyone please help me...I'm really confused ,today when i checked my EOI i could see "apply visa" option enabled for employer sponsorship visa 186 what does this mean?
