Re: IELTS Results
Hi friends
I am kind of stuck with similar issue here where i was awarded 6.5 in reading and writing 8.5 in listening and 7 in speaking ,while the target score required 7 in each.
So i am thinking to reappear for the test .the catch is that the whole process to get test date ,and final TRF may take another 5-7 weeks .while i can still apply with the same score however my total score would be 10 points less(120 as of now).
Can i apply with current score and update DIAC with my updated score (hoping the next one will be better )..any thoughts ..Can i use the same process for state sponsorship....
please advice

If you are an accountant than you have to have 7 in all.

Does it mention that you are on MODL or any sentence like "You have 12 Months experience in the designated profession ? " My consultant (Althoug i withdraw my case from him) told me that it should be mentiond to claim MODL points.

Re: IELTS Results
I did my exam through IDP from New Delhi, India, last month on 11th Feb and I got my result on 24th feb.
I did this exam 4th time but I have not scored 7 in each component in one sitting. My latest IELTS score is Listening: 8, Speaking 7.5, Reading: 7 and writing: 6.
Last time, I got 7 in writing but 6.5 in reading.
I have applied for re-checking of my wriitng section this time but I think it will take another 3 weeks to get my result. I will not do this exam again if my marks dont get increased as I have already done it 4 times and have spent so much money to give this exam.
I am an acccountant by profession. I need to file Visa for permanent residency in Australia. I have scored 120 points on the basis of my occupation(60), age factor (30), work experience (10), IELTS (15) and 5 points on behalf of my spouse.
There is a special requirement for Accountants to score 7 in each component of IELTS exam apart from scoring 120 points to file visa application.
If I file for permanent residency, then it will not be processed on priority. How long will take take if I file for permanent residency with these scores?
I cant even get state sponsorship from Adelaide, South Australia as for that also I need 7 in each component of IELTS.
It seems like I am stuck in a cage where only IELTS 7 can solve my problem.
Any expert advise?

Your best bet is to keep plugging away at the IELTS until you have 7 in every band. You can lodge an application with less than 7 but it will be subject to lower priority processing and pure speculation, but if the 7 were to become mandatory for accountants in the next SOL update, your application is just going to sit there and never move.
I am not really sure why this particular requirement is only there for accountants, I would have thought that plenty of occupations require strong English skills but the rule is the rule..

I have already spent 40,000 Rs. just to give IELTS exam and there is no success. I have really good english and seems like Australian embassy has just given a good business to IDP and British Council. I am really tired of doing this exam. I am confused whether to file my visa or not?

If you score IELTS 7 in all categories, your application will be at high priority, and you may get PR within 1 year (approximate) time !
INR 40,000 may not be huge sum when converted to AUD! Per sitting you are paying 220-240AUD only. If you go to Australia early, you can earn these expenses by working for 1 week time (Every day you would earn money paid for at-least 2 attempts!). So, keep trying IELTS till you get IELTS7. There are plenty of trainings around, many promise to make you get IELTS 7, why not try one of them?

Re: IELTS Results
Thanks for your early reply. I work in a call centre and my job requires me to communicate regularly with english speaking customers. My friend suggested me to attend IELTS coaching classes, which I actually took and my teacher said I should be able to score 7 in each component. I am perfect to get 7 in each section but IDP and British Council simply dont give marks to general training candidates. I think this is all because of Indian media who is actually responsible for spoiling australian image. I think they dont need anymore people from India. I need to go to Adelaide, South Australia but need 7 in each component for that as well. I am really disturbed with it.

Re: IELTS Results
I am really pissed off and dont have so much money to spend on IELTS again. I have already taken 4 chances and 5th chance by applying for re-checking. There seems to be no end. I have no surety that if I give this exam again then nothing wrong will happen. This time I got 6 in writing and last month it was 7. Dont know what happened in 1 month that I forgot to write.
