IELTS Test
Hi all,
In order to get extra points for English, it states that you need to get a minimum 7.0 in an IELTS test.
Can this be in either test (Academic or General)?
Thanks,
Doug

Unless you're applying under a student visa, or intend to study there, it's academic.

It doesn't *have* to be general at all. For extra points it can be either, some occupations require academic for skills assessment. Most people will do general as it is easier but I have seen one or two take academic as they want to do it quick and couldn't get a test date for general.

I was just a little confused as in the Introduction of New Points Test document DIAC released the other week, for extra points it just states 'IELTS'.
It's great I can do either, as there seems to be alot more academic tests going on than general!!
