Applying for PR from 475/489 to 887

Applying for PR from 475/489 to 887
Hello Everyone,
Currently we are on 475 visa under state sponsorship and will be completing 24months in October 2014. Can we apply for our PR (887) visa by next month or do we need to complete exactly 24months/104weeks in SA before applying for PR?? Since DIBP takes 6months to process 887 visa applications can we apply before completing 24months? Appreciate your valuable advise.
