Default EOI Doubt

Hi All,

One of my friends is planing to lodge the EOI, however he is facing a small problem in filling some of the details.

first of all he was divorced some time back, however he is now having an affair with a lady but they don't live together yet and they are planing to get married in December this year. further he will be adding her to the VISA application later once married if the EOI is successful.

in EOI it asks for the marital status and he is confused as what to select, certainly he cant select DeFacto as they don't live together and if he selects Divorced then how he is going to add her to the VISA application at a later stage? further it asks if the candidate is taking the partner with him and if he states that he is Divorced how will he be answering these questions?

Please help on this and i'm sure that the knowledgeable people out there may have come across such situation.

There is nothing confusing about the question - It's not a trick or meant to trip anyone up. Is he at the time of application divorced, married, defacto or single? Whichever one is his legal marital status AT THE TIME HE APPLIES is the one he chooses.

If he gets married during the application process he simply sends in the change of circumstances form and the required information for his new wife.

Thanks Dorothy,

It is understood that at the time of the VISA application stage a change of circumstances could be used to update the application, however this is at the EOI stage.

his worry is at the time of VISA application if he happens to be married then what he had stated in the EOI would become false.

Cheers,
PB.

He should answer the question accurately, wherever it is asked, based on his situation at the time of answering the question.

Many Thanks..

One other question, he did not have a Degree at the time of this skills assessment however he does have a degree now and it is in the relevant field of his skills.

can he state this and claim 15 points for the education qualifications or he have to re-do the skills assessment to recognize this?

Thanks once again.

Cheers,
PB.

Did he get a positive skills assessment without the degree?
