Default WHV to Permanent Residence

Has anyone out there arrived in New Zealand on a working holiday Visa but ended up staying due to being offered permanent employment?

I have 2 adult children with good qualifications but not on the SSL who are looking at this.

It is possible.

Quals and work exp will need to be a match for any job offer.
If not on the shortages lists , then the employer is going to have to prove no resident/citizen for that opening unless it is an NZIS accredited employer.

Further, double check the residency requirements now as just getting a job offer in one's occupation may not lead to residency eligibility.
