Planning for NZ immigration
My immigration agent told me that I can claim 150 points as follows
Age=25
Exp.=30
Bonus Points for Exp.=15
Qlfns.=50
Bonus Points for Qlfns.=10
Spouse’s Qlfn.=20
My IELTS score is 6 avg.
My agent says I am not reuqired to submit IELTS score at the time of application. If assessing officer feels that I should submit the test report then I should it with 6.5 avg and submit the report.
Is this right?

First of all friendly advice, Don't waste your money on using Agents, Process is pretty simple and you will get lot of help on forums and also INZ immigration website has all the information required.
Yes regarding IELTS there is not specific requirement like Australlia. BTW you can go ahead and create your EOI. On each step you will be asked to put your information and you can see scored points as well.
Regards.

Hi and welcome to this wee NZ forum.
It would help if you stated the occupation you are hoping to apply with.
As Haideeali states you can begin the EOI and save it. You don't need to submit until you are ready.
You will likely be required to submit IELTS at ITA stage . EOI is the preliminary stage.

That depends on the hopeful migrant's country of origin. If English is the first language then that person doesn't need IELTS.
Having said that , some occupations require IELTS regardless. Nurses for one.
I see you write you have qualifications. Did you take these qualifications in English?
Is it degree or diploma standard.
Just trying to get a feel for your application so we can all pitch in to try and help a little.
The thing with IELTS really is to gauge whether or not you may be asked for this at some stage .
You don't need it to pay for and submit an EOI . However, you may be asked for it after the EOI has been selected.
