Default NOT ACCREDITED

My husband has applied for a Production Manager's job in the Wellington Region, its going along okay, interview imminent, so fingers crossed but the prospective employer isnt accredited.

What is the procedure for getting a visa if he gets the job but not accredited, and what sort of chance does he stand of actually getting a visa?

Any info greatly received.

If the occupation is not on the NZIS long term shortage list then the employer will need to prove to NZIS and the NZ Dept of Labour that there is no NZ resident or citizen that could do that job or be trained for that job.

The Dept of Labour will also perform a labour market test to look for possible prospective applicants via a local work and income centre.

The employer needs to download and fill in a form.
you can see the list of forms HERE
Form 1113 would be the one unless the employer plans to apply to become accredited.
They also need to show proof of the job advertising they have done. Training opportunities etc.
