EOI Submitted = Excited Wiz'n'Ton

Re: EOI Submitted = Excited Wiz'n'Ton
Well, it's been a long wait but I am chuffed to bits to say that we have had our EOI approved, and should receive our ITA documents in the next 2 weeks!
Phew and Hoorah!
On Tuesday I had a real old moan to the immigration hotline people, who emailed our case worker. We then get an email to say that our case worker left immigration before Christmas (!) , and to introduce our new case worker. I then emailed the case worker to be a complete lick arse, saying how they must be having a really hard time and how great they were doing.
Well it seems to have done the job as we just picked up an email sent today to confirm that we have been approved! It must have only taken them a day to do. Still, it seems like we are finally getting somewhere.
Woo Hoo!

Cheers for all your support guys
Nice that it finally came around as we starting to get seriously worried.
Erm... yeah... we had to do a bit of blagging to get the work permit's on these. The medicals had expired so the doctor re-dated them and they were accepted for the permit and will be the same medicals that the ITA folks will use. Also our old police checks had expired but the guy said 'they'll do' and used them. We have since got some new ones but it's been so long again that these too have now expired. Since we haven't been near the UK to commit any crimes they should be OK... we hope....! According to the immigration chappy, so long as we write a nice covering letter to explain these <ahem> minor problems, we'll be just fine.
More desperate finger crossing awaits
fun this ain't it

An update from the recently quiet Wiz'n'Ton - and we have just popped the bubbly!
Yup, we have just received a letter confirming that we have been approved in principle for residency, and just need to present our passports + <cough splutter> a mere $600 migrant levy and the looooong process is finally concluded!
What can we say except
'YOU BEAUTY!
15 months ago we arrived here in 12 month working holiday visas, and after so many ups and downs since then we finally feel that we have really arrived.
Good luck to all those starting or in the middle of the EOI/ITA process - we hope that you will soon be getting the same result.
Cheers ears!

Cheers all - we are all still grinning from ear to ear
Gonna be getting this sorted out as soon as we have the dough for the levy.
Then it'll all be 'Sweet as awesome good as gold bro' all the way to the dairy in my ute for a paua pattie or sausage on a stick!
Love it!
