It has! Yippee.

However, have just had to pick OH up off of floor when he read first few lines - Migrant Levy, Application fees etc. I think that it was seeing it in print!

Can anyone recommend a medical centre in Hampshire for medicals?

Daughter is 11 next week & was hoping for her not to have an x-ray, but seems very unlikely now.

so, where's everyone at?

we're: medicals completed (all ok, at least according to the doc!!), police checks clear, most of the paperwork gathered. just waiting for OH work history details to come back from previous employers, then mammoth session with photocopier, quick trip to the solicitors to get stuff certified and hoping to submit first week in november...

OH has applied for a job, and registered with some specialist agencies at the olympia expo last weekend...

how's everyone else getting on?

we just have to do meds & UK police certificates

we are holding off meds til the last minute just for pure fear of getting them done and a to try and lose the last few pounds so we can have good BMI.

Everything else gathered. Eek!

We just need meds & police checks.

Police checks filled in - just need photos & a friend to countersign.

Meds are pencilled in for 1st Dec (need a late pm appointment so that kids don't miss any school or Xmas activities).

Also wanting to bring waist measurement down if poss. BMI is 24 & I am only a size 10/12 but 'waist' measurement on widest area (thought it best to look at worst case scenario) is above magic 88cm - why do you never really lose the belly completely after child no.2????? ..or am I just kidding myself?????

OH is only slightly over the magic 102cm but his BMI is 34, too close for comfort. Anyway we are now dry in a vain attempt to address the situation - want to get meds out of the way as I wouldn't mind being able to have a drink on my birthday in mid Dec.

Awaiting for letters to drop on door mat confirming previous work experience - they all seem to be able to confirm in an e-mail but it seems to take so long when you ask them to supply a paper copy of the exact same info.!!
One company (who has been taken over 2 times since I worked there) just said they couldn't help me as they couldn't find me on their database. Hmm - how about looking in your paper records!!! I am not too worried though as I have payslips, appraisals, letters from the company & I only worked there P/T for a year & have more than my required 10 years I am claiming for with the rest of my work experience so fingers crossed that INZ will be happy with my supporting documents.

So will look to submit in mid Dec.

hi all, very to announce that we have finally everything collected, the doc says in super fit, police say I've been good. Now all is left to certify and send. Even if we get accepted and the sticker in my passport, I'm going to leave it a while before we head to NZ. I'm going to apply for jobs but wait and wonder to see if the economic climate is all good. Basically I'm in no rush.

INZ finally registered our ITA as received in mid December, and have now updated to say our medical certificates have been received

OH has probable date for redundo as april... bro has announced he's planning on heading to nz for work later in the year too... uninfluenced by our decision (though he does dote on his niece!!)

so, how's everyone else coming along?

HNY, BTW!

hi

similar situation

sent off our ITA 16th December and by some freak of brilliant efficiency, it was down as 'lodged' on the NZIS website by 17th Dec with medical received, same date.
now just waiting!!!!

anyone had any idea of time fames now. the london branch do not seem to have updated their website since 5th december so still estimating that it will be another month or so before we hear contact!!!

fingers crossed and good luck everyone

Hi all,
We sent ours on the 17t, have received word from INZ that a case officer is looking over it.

We wait. We're not in a rush to get back to NZ, I need to save some pennies for house deposit etc. Am applying for a job and any other that become available. Lucky me that I've secured some freelance that I can do when in NZ. Pounds still translate well in NZ.

Soon we in this thread might be pouring a victory glass of wine, just like everyone else in the forum. I've congratulated a lot of people in here on there visa success. Our turn soon.

Hello everyone

Our ITA was lodged 31st Oct along with medicals. So far nothing from immigration (London Branch)
We are checking the immigration site daily now, but with no update at the London branch since 5th Dec, we are estimating it will be at least another month before we are assigned a Case Officer.

Good Luck to everyone else

Finally sent all paperwork off via Special Delivery on Tuesday 3/2/09. We had to request an extension because ACRO took ages (over a month instead of 10 days) with Police checks.

Anyway got back from work today to find letter from NZIS stating that application was lodged on the 4th so have checked website & this also stated that Medicals have been received today.

Now just the waiting for assignment to a Case Officer.

Anyone else had any updates?

oo... things are moving then....

INZ London Branch homepage says they're currently processing ITA's submitted end oct ish, so as we were 'lodged' 2nd dec, we reckon on getting case officer assigned end of feb/start of march...

OH (our principle app) has started properly applying for jobs saying 'in final stages of PR application' nothing successful yet, but those that have turned him down have asked to keep his details on file and to keep in touch, so fairly positive.... keeping fingers crossed that someone might be keen to employ him without having to be in the country! current redundancy date is end of march, so things will really start moving for us then!

hope everyone else is getting along ok!

we've got next monday off to tackle sorting through all the junk in the garage!!

We submitted our ITA 20th October, allocated a case officer the end of January and have now got the date of our settlement telephone interview for the 12th Feb (could have been a week sooner but I wanted to prepare). I have started to look for work however, employers like to know you can legally work in NZ, bit of a chicken an egg situation, I have also heard that NZI may only offer you a WTR visa rather that a PR visa if you don't have a job offer.
