Default Visa application - 'Driving offences'

Hi all.
So this week I accepted a job offer in Wellington, so now the ball is rolling and I'm starting my application...

I have an offer from an Accredited Employer, so I am applying for a "Talent (Accredited Employer) Work Visa".
I'm just wondering where I stand on this questions:

'Have you ever been convicted at any time of any offence, including any driving offence?'

I have 2x Speeding fines, both are 'SP30'. One was a FPN from a camera a few years back, the second I was pulled for speeding by a traffic officer which resulted in a summons to Magistrates Court for which I received a fine and points after pleading guilty to a speeding charge.

I assume these need to be detailed in the Visa application?

Thanks again!

Is this the sane when the points have come off your license? Or is it just for active offences

Thank you for the responses.

I've submitted my application. What I assume is an automated reply has asked if I would consider adding and further info or comment before my application is assessed.

Would you consider this necessary or worthwhile for my application. It's for 2 separate SP30 speeding offences with a total of 9 points.

If you think it necessary, what information would you suggest adding?

Thanks.

The FPN - No.
The summonsable offence - yes.

No, they both do not. Only the CONVICTION has to be disclosed. A FPN is _NOT_ a conviction (how many times!).

So how is it differentiated?
Neither are shown on my police check.
Neither show any different on the DVLA licence check. They are both showing as SP30 offences and both showing as issued from a Magistrates Court with an associated fine and points endorsement...?

If one should have been disclosed, and one shouldn't I'm not sure what makes them different in terms of visa application.

I guess too late anyway as I've hit submit. Just have the chance to add information now, not alter the response.

Easily!

One is a conviction, the other (the fixed penalty notice) is not. How much clearer does this need to be?

It doesn't matter. One is a FPN, the other is a conviction. There is a huge difference; one which you - and others - don't appear (for reasons beyond me) to understand.

It'll make no difference. It's just a future FYI, as the advice you've been given here is incorrect.

Thanks for the reply.
I have disclosed both and hope that it won't cause an issue.

I guess the reason why I don't know the ins and outs is because I don't understand it (hence looking for guidance elsewhere). Similarly I spend 8 hours a day dealing with issues at work that seem trivial and easy for me to understand yet my clients are often sat with me in a state of confusion and sometimes panic....

It won't.

I'm just letting you know for future reference that a FPN is _not_ a conviction.

Really. Well I'm going to add a little something just so the opening poster is clear.

Hungry Horace is not in New Zealand , has not emigrated to New Zealand and knows a bit fat zero about NZ Immigration and its mechanisms.

mtb17
NZ Immigration work visa application form asks declaration of
'Have you ever been convicted at any time of any offence, including any driving offence?'
Transparency and declaration is the right way forward. It is up to the NZ case officer to access the application and the declarations. Not Hungry Horace in the USA.
