Hi Emma

Yes i did the fasting blood test mine came back with slighty raised cholesterol and raised white blood count, they included a copy of my blood result for me to give to my gp, my gp made me have another FBC and my white blood count was back at normal, which just indicated that i may of had a cold or an infection when i had my bloods for my medical taken. The cholestral my gp was`nt worried about just said watch what im eating , so eat sensibly and try to get a bit more excerise and she would get it checked again in 6mnths time.

Im more worried with my sons as He has ADHD so not sure how this will effect things, but the doctor who did our medicals seemed to think it should be ok as we enclosed a letter for her from my son`s specialist about his meds and that he is seen every 6mnths and that he is in mainstream school and requires no help and has been fine at school for last 4mnths without any problems.

But they did`nt give us any indication of how it went im afraid, if i was you i would try and watch what your eating cut back on the fatty stuff and try and eat a bit healthier and see if you can get your waist down to the required size, which aint easy in a short space of time
I really hope they go well for you and your family Emma kepp us posted!!!

Hi Ginny
Well our meds are this friday and Im so nervous, Im doing a good job at keeping everyone else calm but me! Its good news that your sons ADHD is under control, would hope this wouldnt be to much of a problem if hes coping well. As for my weight I have tried to watch what I have been eating and have lost a little weight but unfortunately not so many inches!
Where in NZ are you hoping to go?

Best regards
Emma

Hi mudplug, good luck for tomorrow We only made the appointment last week but I've known for a long time that my waist was over, I tried but have little will power Never mind I work on a diabetes ward and am always checking my blood sugars so I'm not too worried. Do hope my cholesterol isn't too high tho!! Going out Sat night now Enjoy your lunch, Bevissa

Good luck with thoose medicals Mudplug

We are hoping to be in Tauranga BOP if we ever get a visa Mudplug

I had to go back to the docs today as our case officer wanted me to repeat all blood tests as mine came back with raised Cholesterol, my doctor was amazed they needed repeating as the level was not at a rate they consider high by the guidelines they have to follow, but have given me a slip to get them done again regardless, but she told me i do not qualify to be but any medication as not a high enough level, so have no idea what will happen if they are still raised when i recieve them back i suppose i will be reffered to medical assessors

Hi Ginny
Thats not good about more blood tests but hopefully this time it will be sorted out, keep your chin up
Well our medicals were ok, the doc said there was nothing much to worry about but time will tell, not got results back (as for my measurements I managed to breath in!!! but just made it to the required 88cm)
Would highly recommend doctor/chap in Cambridge and the Nufield where the exrays were done.
Was hopeing I would feel better once they were out of the way but now knowing we have the results to come I feel worse
Will keep my fingers crossed for you,
All the best
Emma

Hi Bevissa,
Well for us its now all over, thankfully
If your doc's like the one we had when it came to measuring the tum he got us to stand with our backs to him with arms in the air, this automatically made my waist smaller then with a good breath in !!!!!! 88cm, I laughed!!!!
And as for lunch, grand!!! havent stopped eating since
Let us no how you get on, and enjoy your night out.
Emma

Mudplug, well done you We all got on ok. Had fasting tests and just wait for the reply now. OH had fasting bloods done as well even though hes a slim jim. He has a family history of Diabetes and Heart Disease! Scales different from weightwatchers ones so Dr made my BMI higher than I believed it to be and made me a bloody inch shorter than I thought I was Talk about a double whammy!! I am going to measure my height at work tomorrow. I was pretty short before, I'm even shorter now. Maybe its the weight of the worry of emigrating on my shoulders Glad you enjoyed the meal, and yes we had a good night out Saturday Keep me posted!! Bevissa
