Default Work permit

We have finally got the LMIA and the paperwork together to get a new work permit.
We plan to head over the border tomorrow.
The idea is to go shopping and have lunch before coming back into Canada.
Do we have to mention as we enter the US that we will be getting new paperwork on the way back home?

Thanks!

It will show the US that you intend leaving the country and going back to Canada so its up to you.
