Wife eligible for Express Entry, now what?
Hey everyone, I posted last week about me being on 410 points on the CRS and received the excellent advice to make my wife the primary applicant instead as she is 3 years younger. What I had also forgotten was that she also has a second degree meaning she actually scores significantly higher than me, so I am definitely glad I posted here!
She did the CRS eligibility test on the CIC website and I am delighted to say got a message saying she appears to be eligible for EE. Obviously no guarantee of anything but encouraging early news!
So here goes with some (probably stupid) questions:
1. Presumably to go into the pool we have to have the IELTS and ECAs done first?
2. What medical evidence is required, an exam? If so, when and how is that arranged?
3. Is an interview at the Canadian Embassy required at any point?
4. If you have a birthday while in the pool, do you automatically lose ranking points while still remaining eligible for an ITA?
Thanks in advance guys.

1. Yes, both are mandatory to apply.
2. You have to have a medical when actually invited to apply for PR.
3. Occasionally, but unlikely if you're a straightforward application.
4. Yes, points will drop.
HTH.
