Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there is such a thing as a temporary work visa for
(e.g. for a year or six months) that would allow someone to find employment and live in
Canada for the period of the visa's validity?
Thank you for any help. Steve

There's a so-called Youth Exchange program or something like that. It actually allows you
to holiday in Canada and work to supplement your funds. If you're British national, you
should be eligible. I suggest you check this web-page out

Hi:
Most temporary foreign workers need to obtain an employment authorization before coming
to Canada.
Generally the first step in the process is to obtain a job offer from a Canadian Employer.
The employer is responsible for obtaining a "job validation". In order to qualify for a
"job validation"the employer must make a case that there are no qualified Canadians
available to fill the position and that the job offer is within Canadian labor standards.
