Hello!

We received an email confirming the SA (back in January), but ECAS is still showing as in process. Is this normal this long after? PA is also showing in process. I just want to make sure there are no loose ends!

Thanks all!

It's not unusual

Mine showed "in progress" after I had landed!

(You can normally click on the 'in progress' and be taken to where it will have more detail).

Hello,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I am currently in the process of completing the applications forms for Spousal Sponsorship (Common-Law) which will be going via London soon and have a very pedantic question to ask. When checking through the document checklist, for such questions as Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) - which I am not using, would I put an N/A in the box or still put a cross through it?

Many Thanks!

Hehe, Siouxie, made me chuckle.

And MrGateux, Welcome! Forgot to write that in my last post! There are no pedantic or stupid questions, putting your app together is a pain in the butt and super stressful, so hopefully the wiki pages are useful while you're finishing up, and in the meantime, we are all here to help!

Thank you for your quick and kind response. Myself and my fiancee have been utilising the Spousal Sponsorship FAQ's and WIKI pages as a self assuring guide. Really appreciate all the hard work that must have gone into the forum. May I just ask what documents everyone got notarised when completing the application. We have collected three notarised statutory declarations from family/friends regarding our common law relationship and I see that the FAQ mention that photocopies are fine for most forms, I am just wondering what other forms anyone else had notarised, if any?

Many thanks!

At last, movement on our CL Oct 2015 application...a request for payment of the $490 Right of Permanent Residence Fee, and the following:

we have determined that you have provided insufficient documentation to prove that you and your sponsor have co-habited for at least 12 continuous months. Please provide further official documentation in joint or own names that links you and your sponsor to the same address or addresses for a continuous 12 months period.

We've been together for 17 years! How have others provided the sort of detail they want? We've sent Council Tax and utility bills in our joint names but how can you prove continuous co-habitation for a 12-month period? Do they want 12 contiguous receipts with our names and address?
