sadly you will wait a little while for your PR card when you 'land'

Its been 60 days for me and every time I come close to the PR Card processing time on the website they increase it
Thanks Snuggs. Can we get straight to work after crossing the border? We don't have to wait for our PR cards right?

You don't actually need your pr card unless you travel outside of Canada. .
I used my copr paper to get a new sin number the following day and I recently managed to renew my ohip ( Ontario health card ) without my pr card..

I've just logged in to the tracking, im still stuck as application recieved on August 7th. I paid the permanent residency when requested in March. Surely this should have updated?

Is there someone I can contact at CIC?

I've got a small update for the spreadsheet - we've been asked now for further proof of intent (email came on Friday 5th June).

I'm sending back my letter of resignation from work, my son's school registration form at his school in Canada, a letter from my brother in law stating that he's bid for a large project and I'll be working with him on it if he wins it, and correspondence with our real estate agent on buying a house.

At least we're getting somewhere...!

Does anyone have any experience with applicants who have dual nationality? My wife (applicant) has Spanish & Brazilian citizenship (and passports). CIC is aware of both. What confuses me somewhat is her Brazilian citizenship requires a visa to Canada, her Spanish one doesn't, so would CIC opt for the visa-exempt nationality to process? (as I'm writing this I'm aware my question may be too technical for the forum).

We're arriving in Canada July 15 under Dual Intent and my wife will travel on her Spanish passport (as she normally does) so as not to pay the visa. Could this possibly make a difference with regards to her application? Any help would be much appreciated.

I *think* it should be based on which nationality she filled in first on IMM0008. My husband is dual British and American. We provided info on both passports but always listed his British one first. His police certificate was done on his British one, and when we had our PPR it was just for his British passport.

Thanks for that. I seems to recall we put Brazil for that as that's where she was born. We did police certs for both countries and the UK. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
