Basically you out your details in and the tracker emails you when your Ecas has any new developments. I use it and it alerted me when our application reached london.

Some people request their details through the mail. I think the others may not have written their email addresses clearly enough? Most seem to get the PR through email.

It checks ecas for you several times a day and emails you when there are any changes.

People have voiced concerns but if you read the page it explains that your info is stored only to trigger a response email. My OH is a computer programmer and was not at all worried about me using the site. It is totally up to you of course.

so how long have people waiting once they have had it say medicals received?

London started processing myn 19th May - i emailed them the other day as i needed to let them know my OH might be moving, they emailed back straight away saying my application was in the last stages and they were waiting for the RCMP check to come back and then i would have my visa issued. That was i think now a weekish ago....then the next day i then had the email saying meds received...just wondering as i was hoping to hear something this week....

Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure it says somewhere in the paperwork that you don't have to get a Canadian police check, I guess they do it for you if you've lived here.
That is great news Louise! Sounds like you're getting close. It's said they've had my meds since my app went to London so I'm not sure that's a factor.

"When all else fails, read the instructions"

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa...ica/canada.asp

"How to obtain a police certificate
Canada

Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?

Only in certain cases. The Canadian visa office will tell you if you need a Canadian criminal record check while your application is being processed.

How and where do I obtain one?

If the visa office asks you to complete a criminal record check, visit the RCMP website for instructions."

They said this to me;

Please be advised that your application is in the final stages of processing. We are currently awaiting the results of routine RCMP police checks. We appreciate your continued patience.

Once the results are received, you will be contacted again to submit L's passport to us for visa issuance. If you move house before we contact you again, please advise us by return email, keeping the subject line as it is.

Well yes...since it wasn't relevant to me I didn't bother looking it up but I knew it said that you didn't automatically need one...

Louise, that sounds like good news to me. Unless you robbed a bank or something whilst you were here it looks like you'll be hearing something soon
