Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
Thank you for everyone’s help and advice during the process. Wouldn’t have been half as simple for me to complete without this great resource.
Spousal sponsorship application Took just under 9 months in total for us.

Is that the one titled “Letter accompanying the Visa”? I’ve just had that through, though no PPR?! I’m guessing your paper COPR hasn’t actually arrived yet? The address they’ve put at the top of my letter is an old one, I hope they don’t send it there.

Sounds like you will not have a PPR and will simply go straight to receiving your COPR.

Thanks Siouxie, I contacted my old landlord who's agreed to keep an eye out for it over the next few days. Hopefully wherever it goes I'll get it!

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
Hi All,
I sent off my forms 4 weeks ago today, they got them in Canada 3 weeks ago yesterday.
I've looked on the spreadsheet and it says application received in Mississauga, is this the time that they say they have received it or is this the time the people that sent it say it should have been received?
Is it normal to wait 3 weeks with out hearing anything back.
Our app should be a straightforward one as we've never been married before and we dont have any dependants, I'm British and shes Canadian.

So is it normal to wait three weeks without hearing anything back - yes.
Usually get an AOR (acknowledgement of receipt) between say 3 - 5 weeks. You should hear any time now.

MyCIC page has been updated now to say that A final decision has been made. Application Approved, but still no way to upload requested documents that came in letter.
Lets hope the copies sent by mail are sufficient..

Ah nice. I sent mine two days before you and still nothing :-(
Will be interesting to see how quickly you get moved along.
Out of interest can I contact them by phone / email to follow up on mine - anyone know best details?
Does the AOR get sent to the sponsor?

Sched A and Medical requested this morning.
Now the fun part trying to find a panel physician I can get to, that doesn't charge extortionate fees and have long waiting lists
AOR went to my gf first, I received a copy a day later.

'You have now been issued your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) form (IMM5292 or IMM5688) for you and all accompanying dependants. Do not make any corrections to the COPR. Do not sign the COPR until instructed to do so by an Immigration Officer at landing.'
