I handin my application on Oct 5th, last year. I just got my File ID on Jan 5th (3 month
for just a File ID). Then they told me wait 6--9 month for final decision if there is no
interview needed. I shall wait 8--12 months for an interview if it is required.

I remember they say 7 weeks one can get a file ID. But I know I am lucky, coz my girl
friend submitted her application a few days after me, and she hasn't get a file ID yet. (
today is Feb 6th)

I have Canadian Master's degree in Computer science. My TOFEL is 643/677 My GRE verbal is
93% I have 2 years experience (all notarized document) I am 24 years old. Why things will
become so slow for me? Do you guys have the same problem if applying in USA?

It is not that things became slow just for you at Buffalo - they are slow for everybody
lately, thanks to huge increase in the number of out of jurisdiction applications. Also a
slowing down US economy is taking away dreams of Green Cards from many H1B visa holders
who now apply for Canadian PR instead, hoping that they will not have to go back home.
