Thanks for such a well balanced and informative post. We're all looking forward to the move and although we don't expect life to be a bed of roses, we do think that it will be a better way of living for us.

No problem alohavic. As you say it won't be a bed of roses but it has certainly worked out to be a better way of life for me anyway, so it can be done.
Feel free to inbox me any questions you may have and I will hopefully be able to help out. Also this forum has a wealth of invaluable information which will help enormously when applying for PR, and credit goes to the contributors on these pages who generously share their knowledge so the likes of a self-confessed form-a-phobic such as myself can breeze through the daunting immigration application minefield.
