So finally became a PR yesterday, not sure how mine works in regards to some of the info on the table as mine was an inland application but took 7 months from the time they received it until the day I landed.

That's great to hear, I think you're about 2 or 3 weeks ahead of us. Judging by when you applied and when you got your first stage approval. So hopefully that means we will also have permanent residence within the next 3 weeks.

Yeah it was weird I got AIP on technically 25 September but didn't get the letter until 2nd October, but on 3rd October I was given my landing date.
Lucky I waited that day rather than send my open work permit application in because it would have been useless

I've been lurking in the background of this forum for a while now. Never really posted much, just used the site for helpful info. After looking at other people's time-lines, I always hoped mine would be processed as quickly. So in August this year I sent my application to Missassauga for sponsorship approval. My time line is as follows:
August 26th '07 - Application sent to CIC Miss.
Application was received by them August 30th.
27th Sept my partner was accepted as sponsor.
1st Nov PPR request............9.4 weeks

I'm just waiting on visa's now so I can officially land. I've been living in Canada since May 7th '07. I'll probably get my PR visa before Vegreville get back to me to say my visitor extension was accepted.

hi.

we are going the family class route.
Med's done yesterday, application being sent off on Monday.
Am so excited and i still have the papers (crazy).
There must be quite a few canadians left.
Hubby is staying with my as long as poss, just to help earn more pounds/dollars, hehe.

Well this was the old timeline which goes back a few years... at one stage there was another family class one for 2007 but people will keep resuscitating this one.

My Goodness, I can't believe this thread is still going!!!! I remember when it first started...I was still in England, and have now been in Canada for a year and a half.....and loving it.
Congratulations to all of you who have landed, and good luck to all of you still waiting.
I must admit, I don't check in to expats very often now....not enough time in the day. But I am very grateful to everyone here, who were a great support with help and information, while I was going through the paperwork, and then the actual move.
