Hey guys,

So I arrived in November 1st 2016, and have been living with my Canadian girlfriend at our rented house in Ottawa ever since.

Now that November 1st 2017 is approaching, we're getting ourselves in gear (checklists, lot's of reading and so on). Note that we're applying for common law.

So to cut to the chase, here are my questions:

1) We have been separated a few times (due to my Canadian workplace sending me on work trips *note I have the IEC working visa*, brothers stag - obviously couldn't invite the girlfriend, and a small trip back home).... if I can provide evidence, will they see this as being OK?

2) We actually went on a 3.5 week european tour together throughout July and some of August. Again, will this be a problem? Technically at this point we were together but not 'living' together as we were travelling.

3) What are the latest waiting times for people applying from within Canada?
