Hello All,

I will be landing next month in Moncton via Halifax.

Do I still need to show proof of funds even though the principal applicant is already landed and currently in Canada?
I had to stay behind in the UK to sort out a few things.

Also does it matter if they are temporarily staying with a friend in another province (we were nominated by NB province).

We are planning on renting a condo first and buy later next year.

It's the PA that has to show funds, so you shouldn't need it but personally I'd take it just in case.

And you are supposed to be settling in NB, so it's not great your other half is in another province tbh. Take whatever proof you can that his stay there is only temporary - presumably he's got evidence of sorting things out for your life in NB i.e. hiring accommodation, job hunting etc, so take proof of that too just in case.

I agree with Christmas: not great regarding not living in the Province of nomination.

They were alone and the Mrs couldn't do much as she was pregnant. I am looking at NB rental properties at the moment with a view of signing contract as soon as I land.

Please how long do I need to wait before printing bank statement that I will use is proof of funds.

There's no official requirement, but as close as possible to your landing date. So just get it a few days before you go.
