We applied for immigration in April 2000 to the Candadian High Commission at New Delhi and
we completed the medical check-up on 2nd December 2000. The police report from local
police that we had sent along with the application will be a year old on 16th March 2001.
Should we send a new police report without being asked for one? (Our friends were asked
for new police report as well as financial statements which they had not sent, 3 months
after their med-check and its been over a month since they sent it but they have not
received their landing papers as yet.)

Can we expect the visa within 3 months? - we sent all documents with our application and
we also paid the ROLF in November 2000. Should we send a new police report now or wait
till the 3 months (from med-check) are over or wait till they ask us for one?

We were in UK and had enclosed "Subject Access" records from New Scotland Yard that were
dated 7 July 1999. We have not left India since returning from UK in April 1998. Do we
have to get fresh copies from UK as well or will the Canadian high commission make their
own enquiries?

It is true that applications from people from earthquake affected Gujarat are being
processed on a priority basis and other applications are likely to be delayed??
