police check - turned 18 IN Canada
Hi there,
My family and I have lived in Canada for the last 18 months accompanying my husband on a work permit. I am filling in the online application for residency and in the additional document list it is saying MULTIPLE police checks required.
I have my UK check but didn't think I needed one for Canada. Is this just standard wording or do I need to arrange a Canadian check too?
ALSO...
My son turned 18 in February last year and had lived in Canada for 6 months at that point - it is asking for a police check for him too which is strange because I thought you only needed to provide police checks for countries you had lived in for 6 months or more SINCE turning 18.
Please help - I'm stressing
Thanks
Lyndsey

Ok, thats what I thought about the Canadian check so that's good
How about the fact that there is a space for me to upload a police check for my son who is 18 but who turned 18 in Canada and therefor has not spent 6 months or more post 18 in another country?
Should I just not upload anything in that slot?
Will my application be refused as incomplete if I leave this space empty?
Will it even let me complete the application if i do not upload anything?
this is such a stressful time. We have waited so long for this I don't want to get anything wrong!

Just upload a word document saying your son hasn't lived anywhere other than Canada since turning 18. That should be fine.
