Hi,

I sent my PR application (under BC PNP skilled worker) a couple of weeks ago. Looking at people's timelines, it seems that it's a few months after submitting the application before they even tell you that it is being processed!? Do we get any sign before that (other than the bank draft being cashed)?

Thanks,

Matt

We didn't hear anything until they requested we have our medicals, that letter included the AOR and the receipt for the initial fees.
See our timeline below.

Hi Sharaik

I know how you are feeling, hang in there. Ours took 15 months for AINP.

We are still awaiting our COPR, they requested my tax assessment form for last year and an updated letter from my employer to prove I was still employed by them. They have all the info from us now, just that little COPR to be sent. I beleive it is sent via mail as opposed to electronic delivery

Thanks for the kind words. I hope you get your COPR soon, and going by the current timelines it seems like 15 months is the new processing time.

Province / Territory: British Columbia
Arrived in BC on 2 year working holiday permit: 25 June 2009
Applied for Provincial Nomination: 23 Jul 2010
Provincial Nomination Received: 29 Nov 2010
Canadian Visa Office: Buffalo, USA
Application Sent to Visa Office: 11 Feb 2011
New Work Permit: 07 May 2011
AOR Received Date: 01 Sep 2011
Medicals Requested: 01 Sep 2011
Medicals Done: 29 Sep 2011
Medicals Sent: 08 Oct 2011
Passport Requested: 17 Feb 2012
Passport Received Date: 16 Mar 2012
Landed in Canada: April 2012 (Planned)

Total Processing Time: 574 days

In terms of correspondance:
PNP Nomination Certificate and Application Pack - a few days after PNP approval date
Single printed receipt from CIC Buffalo with a file number sticker on the back - unsure of date rec'd - 7 Apr 2011 printed on it though
Confirmation of Permanent Residence Paperwork - rec'd back with passport, 16 Mar 2012

Aside from those three items, everything else was done by email - I had to call the BC PNP office to get a work permit support letter, but that was just a PDF they emailed to me to print out myself.
