Photos question
Hello
We are going to be submitting our spousal application this week, and I just noticed that one of the eight photos required had been bent and now has a crease in it
Do you think we should get them retaken?
Also any final words of wisdom for the process in general are welcome!
Thanks

Why eight photos?
If you are using the latest Western Europe checklist (IMM3901e - 06-2016), you will see it specifies two photographs now (yes, an older version of the checklist said eight or nine IIRC). Also make sure they are the correct specification and size etc. as the size changed in Jan 2016 onwards.
I suggest that part of your check should be that you are using all of the very latest versions of the forms - easy to get caught out.

What Hurl said. You only need 2 photos now, and the size of the photos has also changed. Double check that all your forms are the most recent version, CIC often sends full application packages back because of out of date forms.

Re: Photos question
I did start the application in early June so likely before it changed.
Thanks again

Re: Photos question
They went from asking for 8 to reducing this to only asking for 2 in the new version of 3901 dated Jun 2016, so provided you sent in at least 2 (of the correct format), I don't see that they would ask for more?
....and yes, although the latest 3901 says Jun 2016, it was at the very end of June, I only just noticed it myself on my final, final, final check where I checked all of my forms against the latest on the CIC website.

Re: Photos question
They may email you when they're close to making a decision for new photos. I sent the 'old' 8 required photos in (this was November '15 mind), and they emailed me with the new specs in July asking for 2 'new spec' photos. The new ones are a bigger size. As long as you're quick with getting them to the VO then it won't delay your application much.
