Re: LMIA Processing Time?!
The LMIA will be with the BC office and there average provessing time is suppose to be 8 weeks, if it's been 9 weeks it might be best to get your husbands prospective employer to chase them up and see if it can be experdited.

Re: LMIA Processing Time?!
Not long really to be honest, compared to some of the stories I've read here. I turned down a position in Edmonton that had an LMO in April. It wasn't right for us as a family. However I got offered a better job in Calgary which is where we wanted to go. This was in June. So currently been waiting 6-7 weeks for the LMIA. Just want to get things moving!!! How long you been waiting?
Sorry I thought you were asking me the question!!!

If it's like my LMO last year that took six months, so I'm hoping you have a quicker response

ESDC always underestimates how long their processing times are. A good rule of thumb is to multiply their average processing time by a factor ranging between 1.5 and 2.5. In other words, 12 - 20 weeks, although some can take even longer.

Ok. I forgot to ask them how long the processing time if the company gets asked to redo their advertising, does the whole thing start from scratch?

Re: LMIA Processing Time?!
I'd estimate that it's 8 weeks if that's the case. My employer's LMO was rejected and appealed. He got it exactly 8 weeks later after he corrected whatever mistake he made with the first application. But according to him, it wasn't initially rejected because of advertising, but because of something else. If your employer has to re-advertise, I would guess that you wouldn't have to start from scratch, especially if they haven't given your application an outright rejection yet.
