Hello to everyone,

Almost at the end of the first phase so many kindly people on here have helped us with over the last 6 weeks, so a big, heartfelt THANK YOU!!!!

My daughter got her second ITA on 18th October after having to decline her first due to misinterpreting work required for PR.

She successfully submitted her PR application yesterday and immediately received her e-AOR. She has completed her BOWP application (we hope correctly ) but the Come to Canada Wizard mentions IMM5257 but not as a mandatory form to be completed.

Can anyone explain why this form appeared when it is not mandatory for her BOWP application and do you think she has entered some data/ ticked a box which is incorrect to her application which has triggered this? She is currently resident in Canada on an IEC, is single with no dependents and no relatives in Canada.

As far as Im aware that form is only filled out if you require a visa which UK citizens don't.

Thanks again FL....we have assumed something similar or perhaps if you are on holiday or visiting home but intend to return to Canada before your visa expires but you need to apply within the suggested time frame i.e. within 4 months of expiration of your current visa.?

I also understand that many of the IMM forms are generic until you have ticked the boxes then become more specific to your needs, generating your checklist but was confused why this IMM5257 appeared, albeit not mandatory.
