Thanks for the advice people! I started a claim with WSBC when I first went to the doctor about my symptoms. I have a claim in for loss of wages, waiting on a referral to see a specialist. If I get no compensation from WCB I may well take it up with the Human Rights Tribunal as I feel im being discriminated against due to my work based injury.
I bought cheap tickets with Air Transat, I know I get whet I paid for, it just sucks being out another $1000. At least I don't have to go back to the UK with the kids right now, I'm thankful for that.

Just wanted to say how glad I am that you have moved on quite considerably with the situation with your kids. I was only thinking about you a few days ago.

Are they able to attend school in Sept? Would be a great way for them to feel settled!

You have to have evidence that this is the case, not just a feeling, or suspicion.

Not sure that would get very far or that the tribunal would even accept it.
If a comp claim does not go how you want, I doubt that would help a tribunal case. Who would you file against, the employer, or WCB?

You may want to speak to a lawyer on that one.

I have an email from my employer saying that he has cut my hours due to my work based injury along with the original schedule and revised schedule lol.

The kids were enrolled in school here the week they arrived, they were there a month before summer break

Depends on the reasoning.

Without knowing specifics impossible to say who is right or who is not. It is always best to seek professional legal advice before taking things further.

This is a fine line for both employer and employee. Many employers carry business practices insurance to cover legal costs in such cases.

I've had advice from my MP although they are not really able to help until my extension application is in. I am having trouble with the application.
I want to apply online for my 2 children to extend their visitor status, which form do I need to complete? I'm aware the fee is $100 per child, Im just unsure which form to complete. I would benefit from help from a professional, however I havn't the money to pay for this service.

Maybe it would be easier for me to go to the states and re enter with the children, then they can visit again for another 6 months?

Use the Come to Canada Wizard to get the correct document checklist. There are a couple of forms involved. Write a detailed letter/supporting docs.

But really for your situation you should use a representative.

The Come to Canada wizard is very unstable today:

Do you want to come to Canada, or extend your stay?

When did the children enter Canada and how long were they allowed to stay on entry?

Apply online.

That is the form I was trying to complete, its asking my information. Do I apply as the children? Its quite confusing. The Immigrant Welcome Center said they'd check over the form if I did a paper application, maybe that'd be easiest?
We entered on 13th May and the kids have 6 months to visit.

Have you used the Come to Canada Wizard to generate the correct document checklist and suite of forms?

I have told you what I think.

But it is up to you how you will apply and the way you will do it.

Ensure you provide copies of their arrival entry stamps.

I used the Wizard a couple of times. I think I have it figured out now. And yes, it is unstable today!

I was trying it out for you and I found every time it started being unstable if I clicked "modify my answers" at the top and then carried on, it worked okay.

Ok, thanks for the info regarding the Wizard, I now know what I've to do. The Immigration Welcome Center will provide me assistance if I have difficulty filling out the form/check it through once it is complete.
Im sure ill be back asking more questions in the future (once I gain full custody of the kids)!!

Ok so you need to provide as much supporting documentation / evidence about the situation and proof that you are allowed to have the kids in Canada by whoever gave you that in the UK. Make really clear explanations. And don't forget those entry stamps!

Good luck
