Finally an update

Finally an update
Whilst not a London based application, I did say that I would update on our application for common law sponsorship through Sydney Australia.
After 14 months, 12 days, two requests for confirmation of not including my partner's 19 yo son, one application for GCSM notes, 3 follow up emails asking why it takes >60 days to receive them (with no answer as yet), one email to Ahmed Hussen with our unanswered requests, we finally got an email today saying his visa is approved. It looks like we just may be moving back after all.
Thank you for your help with the application process. Reading this forum saved me a ton of stress.

Re: Finally an update
Thanks everyone. The plan is for us to go to Canada for Christmas so he can activate (?) the visa then come back here and make long term plans. Right now we're looking at acreages in the maritimes, but there's a property near Brockville (ON) that I like. If we have time when we're over in December we'll take a few days and fly down to Moncton and hire a car to look at the places we like online.
If there's drinks in TO any time between the 11th and 27th of December we would love to come along.

Re: Finally an update
Congratulations ! I'm happy for you two.
Keep in mind that activating the visa will make him a PR. That will make him ineligible for an ETA.
PRs can only fly to Canada using a valid PR card, or a travel document from the embassy/high commission.
New PR cards currently take 61 days, and must be sent to an address in Canada.
