Default ETA whilst waiting for Work Permit

Hi all,

I have looked elsewhere on the forum and can't see an answer to this (but apologies if I have missed it). I am currently waiting on a work permit but have a flight booked for tomorrow (silly I know but my partner's took two days to come through so assumed would be the same for me). If I apply for an ETA and book a return flight - will this interfere with my work permit application?

I am going tomorrow to settle my girlfriend in and then returning in a month or so to start my new job...

Thanks in advance,

Ben

If you are flying to Canada you need a valid eTA. You can apply for eTA online and usually get a result within minutes. If waiting for the work permit you still need theETA to fly.
