We have just started our subscription to Canada News and discover that Visas are only
valid from one year from the date of our police clearance.
Is this correct?
We have just sent off for our police clearances (First thing to do) but have not yet even
put our house on the market. We are unlikely to sell the house within a year.
Help!

Actually, the validity of the immigrant visa is from the date of the medical examination
or the expiry of the passport, whichever is soonest. That validity is for first
presentation. Jim Humphries, former visa officer
