Business Streams - do any allow real estate investment???
Hi guys
We're currently looking at the business streams offered by the various territories...
We'd ideally like to start a real-estate oritentated business buying properties and flipping them, or renting them out.
However, we have noted that most business streams actually do not allow real estate businesses.
But looking at MANITOBA we cannot find any exclusion, but as usual the details are fairly vague.
Does anyone know if Mantoba allow Real Estate orientated businesses, and if there are any other territories that do?
WE FOUND:
ALBERTA: No business stream?
BRITISH COLUMBIA: ? (but property too expensive anyway)
MANITOBA: ?
NEW BRUNSWICK: Business stream currently closed (since 2013!)
NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR: No business stream?
NOVA SCOTIA: NO PROPERTY ALLOWED
ONTARIO: $500,000 investment (too much)
PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND: ?
SASKATCHEWAN: NO PROPERTY ALLOWED
Thanks guys!

Real estate development is specifically excluded from the program. You would need to frame (pun intended) your business plan in a way that is not development.
There are lots of small businesses up for sale in BC as the boomers retire. If you have the relevant experience maybe you could look to buy into a business in a related field.
