Hello,

Do canadian immigration officers know how long someone has been out of the country
(Europe)? I heard that if you travel by air, your exit is being recorded by airlines. Can
anybody confirm this?

thanks

Presently, due to privacy concerns, airlines are not obliged to share information with
either customs or immigration. However, luckily, customs and immigration have a myriad of
other tools and techniques available which can often prove or at least show evidence of
length of time in or out of Canada.. through old fashioned investigation.
