Applied for PR under CEC. Have AOR. Concerned about time on 'implied status'
I don't wish to start an implied status debate, as I know there have been many.
To put it simply, I arrived in Canada in early March 2012 on an IEC work permit. I applied for my second IEC when the scheme opened in 2013. My work permit was going to expire before I received my second IEC, so I also applied for an extension using IMM 5710, believing in good faith that my status as a worker would continue if I did so. Five weeks after the expiry of my first permit I received my second LOI, flagpoled to get my permit and then cancelled my application for an extension.
I have subsequently submitted an application for PR under the CEC scheme. I have received my AOR and I now have a bridging open work permit until 2015.
Timeline:
March 2012 - Arrival in Canada
March 2013 - Implied status (as far as I knew at the time)
April 2013 - second work permit with IEC
December 2013 - PR submission
January 2014 - AOR received
March 2014 - Bridging open work permit received
Can anyone offer insight into how this might or is likely to affect my application? Having done some more recent reading I am concerned that I was not eligible to maintain continuing status. At the time I was advised by various people, law firm websites etc (one of my roommates was told directly by CIC that it was fine) that it was fine.
Again, I don't want to start a debate, I am concerned about what will happen IF it is determined that (unknowingly) I was not allowed to maintain status.
Lastly I would point out that I definitely had valid permits covering a total of well over 12 months in my role. It is not a case of 11 months + 1 month on implied status or similar.
Appreciate any help

I wouldn't worry.
I was on "implied status" (not working however) waiting for my PR to come through. Was never an issue.
I doubt they'll even notice or query it.

You applied via spousal sponsorship rather than an Economic route like the OP though didn't you? So you wouldn't have needed to submit employment based info as part of your app, and your employment wouldn't even have been looked at, unlike the OP.
