Hello,

I received a letter today from CIC london, it was a document request. They need a Polish Police Certificate...My Wife who I am sponsoring has previously lived in Poland for more than 6 months.

The problem is that she is here with me waiting for her PR status in Alberta, Canada. How can she get a police certificate if she isn't in Poland anymore.

Is there a way to get a Polish Police certificate outside of Poland?

Please help as I only have 60 days to fulfil CIC London's request.

Wow thanks for this detailed info. I was just reading through the english version (my polish isnt up to scratch ) What do they mean when they say:


PESEL number (what is this....)

And where do I send the info? Is there any kind of application form? And how long did yours take?

Does your wife have a polish citizenship?

Yes she is Polish and classified as a "Visitor" in Canada waiting for PR Status.

So she will know what PESEL means--> (It's a number which every polish citizen has) Our police checks took 1 month (but as you can see on their website it can take also longer - you never know )
