Default Limo to Canada

Hi my husband has sent loads of resume to companies in construction but so far we have not been successful! Does anyone know any companies in British Columbia that sponsor foreign workers with the lmo sponsorship?
Thanks

There's a section in the wiki about job hunting. Its a very different beast in Canada. Sending out resumes isn't going to cut it. Its very much a make contacts and do it in person affair.

Best of luck

There's no one list of companies that sponsor. Its up to you to persuade them that you are worth investing the effort and money in hiring unfortunately.

BTW the Twp process has gotten a lot tougher for companies. And its called a lmia now ( I think). The price of which has increased considerably

There is a list of employers who have already gone through the LMO process (as it was till it changed recently to the LIMA). I will try and locate the link once I am back at a PC.

Bear in mind just cause a company has gone through getting someone to BC on an LMO/LMIA does not necessarily mean they will do it again. It's all dues to circumstances. IE the company needed a person that does x,y,z and couldn't get anyone locally, the person had a specialised skill, the person was a perfect fit for the organisation.

You need to make the case of why they should employ you or your husband and what you offer over above what a local Canadian or pr can offer!

You need to sell yourself, call and email and network with employers and give them a date to work to, for an example follow up on the email and resume and let them know you will be out for a week in October.

If you want this work your going to need to invest time and money
