Default Question about background check!

I'm married to canadian and have a canadian baby overseas; I have
applied for the landing and have gone through the medical test which
came fine. I also have submitted police certificate to where I live
now and where I lived before. The embassy have told me after my
medical that they are acquiring a background check. It has been almost
three month and the embassy do not answer questions and can not find
any help to get my landing. Dos any one know what is going on in a
procedure like this?

Depending on your citizenship, your country of residence and the places you
have lived, the background check can take from 3 months to a year plus.
You are just in the waiting mode.

Hi PMM,

Thanks very much for your prompt respond. May I ask if you are telling
me this from experince or if you are a lawyer and sure of this time
period. I'm asking this so I can plan my time according.

Thanks

PMM is correct. Tell us your nationality and countries you resided in if you
want better estimate. Also tell us if you served in the military forces,
state security forces, been a VIP in the government (which one if yes), etc.
