Default Transferring money to Hungary

Should you have large amounts of finance to transfer (for house purchase etc.) from the UK to another country, please oh please do not use the banks. Their rate of exchange is not good and they make a charge for the service.
(SNIP)

What's also good is that having set up an account (SNIP) you can transfer sterling to them and decide exactly when you want to convert your money so the decision is in your hands, not the bank's.

On a transfer of twenty thousand pounds this can make a difference of a few hundred pounds so those of you in the fortunate position of buying property in the hundreds of thousands of pounds range can make really worthwhile savings.

At least give them a call and ask them what their current rate for a currency is and then phone your bank and ask them as well.

What can you lose?
