Ragweed
I don't know why the existing ragweed thread has been closed as it is an ongoing issue.
I had hoped my ragweed patrols would result in diminishing returns as I try to pull up the plants before they flower. As I've mentioned before, I prefer to pull out the plants rather than cut them down as they grow like grass i.e. a new top will grow on the existing root. I've never seen anyone else using this approach, in fact I don't think I have ever seen a Hungarian pull up a weed, they seem to hoe everything.
This is what I'm up against though, my next door neighbour just does nothing about the ragweed at all so their seeds will no doubt end up on my land:

Re: Ragweed
Depending upon the relationship between you and your neighbour either talk to them pointing out the fines available to be levied, or complain to the council about it.
The seeds are a serious problem as depending on which article you read the seeds are viable for between 25 - 45 years so in this case the old phrase 1 years seeding is 7 years weeding falls a long way short of the mark
