No more parking tickets in Szeged
Hi All,
Just to inform you that as of next week Szeged is replacing its parking tickets, that you normally buy from a lotto shop for example, for parking meters; which means:
1) You have to use your parking tickets by then (normally valid for a year)
2) You have to have the correct change for the parking meter.......that's really going to p*** off the locals!!
Information from the lotto shop.
Just wandering if this is being implemented in your city, town or village too?

Afaik here in Hévíz and Keszthely you always have to get your ticket at a machine.
Therte are two systems:
Either you go to the machine before parking and put in enough money for the time you want to stay.
Or (with gated parking) you get a ticket at the barrier and when you leave you put the ticket in the machine and pay the required amount.
The nice side of this if you stayed less than an hour:
In both towns the first hour is free - you don't even have to go to the machine, just put your ticket in at the barrier and it will rise

Our council does not charge for parking either. (87 dwellings and 180 inhabitants)
