Internet

Hi

we are moving to Fonyod in the summer this year, can anyone give us hints and tips on the best internet provider?

Want speed really. I assume fibre is ambitious?

thanks

Re: Internet

Internet provision will be a local issue. What will be available will depend upon where you are and even where you are within any particular village - and that includes which provider is available, (you may only have the option of 1 provider like us!)

How much speed do you need!
I am fairly rural and have a constant 95/100 Mbps which is more than fast enough for anything I do, it is more a case of how much your PC can handle.

Well that certainly seems more than reasonable

pr-telecom.
pr-net 120 with HD TV package. 12,000 fts per month.

Since I am online 10/14 everyday, gaming watching tv or films and reading e books I would say I get my monies worth. But then what else does a boring old pensioner have to do when it is Siberian weather outside!

As a UK resident 12,000 HF per months sounds a lot but then again I pay round £30 per month for internet via Virgin Media and also on top a further £8 for Netflix. I don't know what package my wife's parents and sister-in-law have but there's always a channel showing football across the whole of Europe and getting that here in the UK I would say would add another £30-£40 per month to the monthly subscription.

Does your package include telephone rental/calls or is that extra? Is it necessary to have a landline telephone in Hungary?

No Fen I don't have a land line. I use a VPN so I can watch live tv from both UK and USA and Netflix, but don't tell them because they object quite strongly to such practices.

≤ 9000Ft / month for landline, TV & internet via UPC. Don't know speed but is clearly more than adequate.
