Hungarian Citizenship!
Hello all,
I'm looking to apply for my Hungarian citizenship and have all the documents in hand just starting to get them translated. I'm also learning my Hungarian as well but was told that I only have to have basic to intermediate does anyone know what is actually expected and also how the interview at the embassy is going to be like? Any information would be very gratefully appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Hungarian Citizenship!
On what basis are you obtaining your citizenship? If it's through ancestry then the Hungarian language requirement doesn't seem particularly tough.

The soft underbelly of the scheme is the language knowledge. There is no exam, no list of questions - just a requirement that each person who applies "be able to handle their everyday affairs in Hungarian".

Re: Hungarian Citizenship!
Hi, I am obtaining this via my Hungarian ancestry from my great grandparents and down the line to me. I have all the paperwork, just getting it translated and learning my Hungarian language again since it hasn't been spoken in along time. Any information would be gratefully appreciated.
